I’m Christy Locke, and I’ve set out to explore woman's history through the lens of needle and thread. I’m especially curious about tradition, the why behind it, the pieces we choose to carry forward, and how those traditions continue to shape and serve us today.

It’s all part of Quilts Unlocked, and it’s deeply inspired by my upcoming book, Granny Chic Quilting (working title).

The Adventure

She’s the sassy one down the street who’s always up to something. The confident, stylish one who doesn’t mind bending social rules. She talks to her plants in the garden and later makes the best food you’ve ever eaten… from scratch… (or maybe from a box, but we’ll keep that between us.)

Through this website, we’ll explore those stories, the traditions behind them, and find ways to honor what was handed down while making it unmistakingly our own.

She’s the woman who once paused long enough in her own journey to share something precious with you, something that shaped the way you create with your own hands today.
